EduMind Academy is a training-, course- and programme-provider company. It was founded by educators with the intention of offering an unforgettable experience by developing and delivering high-quality programmes at inspiring locations for educators and school students.
For educators we offer a variety of teacher training courses in Budapest and other European locations in English and other European languages.
We also offer weeklong mobility programmes in Budapest for students constituting the 13-15 and 16-18 age groups and their accompanying teachers.
Mission
We believe that it is only mentally balanced educators who can be professionally competent and find the way to children. When designing our courses, our aim has been to enable participants to activate their inner resources, as well as to develop professionally. Traveling, distancing in space, and the international setting contributes to seeing your professional self from a new perspective, to questioning why and how you are used to doing things in the classroom. Thus you will be able to give more after returning home. Through our courses we wish to contribute to a happier community of teachers educating the generation of the future.
Who we are
Beata Szeles
I am a teacher of English as a foreign language, a school inspector, auditor and an educational adviser. I have taken part in and have been an unofficial ambassador of the Erasmus+ programme from the get-go. Have been motivating colleagues to apply, helping them write grants, disseminating the learning outcomes nationwide for a decade now. As an international coordinator, a participant of numerous courses and job shadowing visits, I have developed a clear understanding of what makes a high-quality course, what educators can gain by participating in teacher training abroad. We would love to see more and more colleagues enjoy similar experiences. Creating and managing EduMind Academy alias the opportunity for educators to develop and manifest their best selves is my mission.
Adrienn Ványai
I am a counseling psychologist and an EFL teacher, currently also working in a kindergarten assisting the educators, strengthening the cooperation between kindergarten teachers and parents.
I have been constantly exploring and discovering tools and methods, both proven and novel, which enable educators to be present at work with a healthy and positive mindset. These methods ensure that educators can face everyday challenges successfully while creating a safe and balanced environment for the children.
Over the past decades I have run several teacher training workshops. When establishing EduMind Academy, my aim was to introduce these methods to a wider professional audience, to create opportunities for sharing my experience in an international community, in order to further develop the participants’ professional self.
Approach
Our courses are delivered by a holistic approach. We focus on the person as a whole. Apart from the individual subject matter, we include activities and tools that serve general mental well-being.
The course content consists of short theoretical input sessions, practical exercises based on the participants’ own challenges, followed by whole group discussions, sharing personal thoughts and impressions. Special emphasis is given to the practical aspect. The participants will have a chance to try and experiment with new tools and techniques.
We provide the space for educators with various backgrounds to share and collect best practices.
The carefully selected course locations indoor and intown/outdoor sessions serve the successful delivery.
